The Ocean County YMCA and Toms River Regional Schools will host its second annual Grab N' Go Summer Meals Program from June 25 through September 3, Monday through Friday from 11am to 1pm. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine has been authorized by the FDA for use in people 12 years of age and older. It has been authorized for use in people 16 and older since the FDA granted the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine Emergency Use Authorization last year. RWJBarnabas Health is equipped to vaccinate this additional age group of 12-15 year-olds. LARGE SCHOOL EVENTS POSTPONED FOLLOWING STATE RECOMMENDATION
Large gatherings nationwide are being cancelled or postponed as a precaution against the spread of the novel coronavirus. Locally, the NJSIAA announced it will continue its athletic calendar without fans. This afternoon, Governor Phil Murphy strongly recommending the cancellation of gatherings of more than 250 people. The district will follow that recommendation until further guidance is received. Schools will post information on specific cancellations (ex. plays and other community events).
